Student Honors Council is the governing body and student voice of the Honors College. SHC is responsible for enriching your honors experience at Ball State, and all students are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings. More specific responsibilities include selecting the Provost and Vanderhill winners, planning the Freshman Convocation, planning a faculty/family mixer for family weekend, planning Honors week in January, and arranging various other speakers and events throughout the year. Each year opportunities exist for motivated members to attend the regional MEHA conference and the national NCHC conference.
