T. W. Hudson Akin
Hudson Akin joined the Foundation Board in 2011
Akin currently serves as the vice president for university advancement. This is not his first position at the university. He previously served as the Ball State executive director of development from 1995 to 2003 before taking a position as the vice president for university advancement at the University of South Carolina. He then became the executive vice president for development at Children's Medical Center in Dallas in 2006, where he secured the center's single largest donation in its history. Now he is a Cardinal once more.
Upon graduating with a degree in human resource management from Louisiana Tech University, Akin held several positions, including those previously mentioned, vice president of external affairs at Louisiana Tech University (1990-95), and vice president and chief operating officer with the Louisiana Bankers Association (1980-90).
