Donna Oklak, who earned her BS in journalism from Ball State in 1977, is the co-founder and vice president of grants at Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis. Impact 100 is dedicated to awarding high impact grants to Indianapolis nonprofits in the areas of art and culture, education, environment, family, and health and wellness.

From 2000-2005, Oklak served as executive director of the Sycamore Foundation, which is a small foundation in Indianapolis that sponsors the Indiana Achievement Awards. While at Sycamore, she led a capacity-building program for Indianapolis nonprofit executive directors and was a panelist for the 2004 Indiana Achievement Awards best practices seminar that examined mission-directed nonprofits.

Oklak and her husband, Denny, established the Oklak Merit Endowment Scholars fund at Ball State for freshman business majors with an academic index of 3.0 or more and a score of 1500 or higher on the SAT.
