Randall E. Pond

Randall Pond joined the foundation board in 2008

Randy Pond is the executive vice president of operations, processes and systems at Cisco Systems, Inc.  In this capacity, he oversees the areas of worldwide supply chain management, information technology, human resources, legal affairs, customer service, corporate affairs, and corporate quality. He also chairs the Connected Business Operations Council and the China Strategy Board, two strategic executive councils within Cisco, and is a member of the Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Cisco, Pond held the positions of vice president of finance, chief financial officer and vice president of operations at Crescendo Communications; and vice president of manufacturing and vice president of finance at Versatec, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation.  He also served in various finance and operations positions at David Systems, Xerox Corporation, Schlumberger, and Arthur Andersen.

Pond is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in accounting and economics in 1977 from Ball State.  As a student he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.  A member of Fellows Society, Pond remains actively involved at Ball State. He is a member of the Miller College of Business Executive Advisory Board and a recipient of the Miller College of Business Award of Distinction. He also serves on the boards of CARE USA, The Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, the March of Dimes of Silicon Valley, and the Islamic Networks Group.

Pond has been married to his wife, Cindy, for 27 years, and has two daughters, Caitlin (24), a fifth-grade teacher, and Marisa (20), a junior at the University of Portland, where she is pursuing a degree in Environmental Sciences.
