Christy Huston

Christy Huston is a director of development. She works with the Miller College of Business, assisting the college and Dean Rajib Sanyal with major gift support. Her assigned geographic focus areas include Chicago and Indianapolis.

Huston joined the Ball State University Development office as director of development for the Miller College of Business October, 2011. She returned to this position she held while Lynne Richardson was Dean.

In addition to her previous work as director of development for BSU, Huston’s professional work experience includes government grant management, serving as executive director of a local education foundation, serving as development director for a statewide nonprofit organization, serving as manager of economic and business development for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and serving as assistant director of legislative and information services for a state government agency.

Huston is a graduate of both the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series and Leadership Hendricks County.

Huston received a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in journalism and minoring in business from Indiana University and attended the Notre Dame Institute for Organization Management. She was a Governor’s Fellow.

Huston is married to Jim, recently celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. They are parents of four sons.

The University Development staff is responsible for major gift development, annual giving, phonathon, athletic fund raising, donor societies and donor stewardship. The staff works directly with the deans of the seven academic colleges and in assigned geographic areas, beginning and maintaining relationships with alumni and friends of the university.
