Our $20 million Cardinal Commitment campaign will run through December 2014 and will include thoughtful, strategic improvements for softball, baseball, men's and women's golf, football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's volleyball.
Our student-athletes' passion isn't expressed only on the playing fields or courts; their passion extends to the classroom as well.
Just a few facts about our athletics program and student-athletes:
Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, we have made several significant improvements to our athletic facilities since 2007. This has included renovations to Scheumann Stadium, the Fisher Football Training Complex, Worthen Arena, and the Briner Sports Complex. These improvements have helped us make an enormous impact on the Ball State experience for student-athletes and student fans alike. But we have much more to accomplish.
"Our Cardinal student-athletes are remarkable in their dedication. They must hit the weights before dawn and study when others have closed their laptops. Just as our student-athletes are committed to Ball State, we now have the opportunity to be committed to them." - President Jo Ann Gora
"Every aspect of Division I athletics is competitive. We're competing with other universities for top student-athletes - to provide those student-athletes with the best facilities and support systems to enable them to succeed. It's important that our facilities are competitive, especially in the MAC.
"It's not only the student-athletes and their coaches who make a committed and competitive athletic program; it's the alumni, the parents, the faculty and staff, everyone who loves the university. We are all one team." - Bill Scholl, Athletic Director
We need your support! Although Ball State receives some state support, public dollars do not fund any athletic projects.
