Bradford Meyerdierks joined the faculty at Burris Laboratory School, Ball State University in the fall of 1978. His responsibilities include pre-student teacher experiences with Teacher's College, the University Schools Band program (4-12), and developing performing arts appreciation courses for the Indiana Academy; a residential school on campus for Indiana High School gifted and talented students.
As an adjunct instructor, Mr. Meyerdierks teaches on occasion Art and Music Appreciation classes for Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech Community College. From 1988 to 2001, he reviewed classical, jazz, and dance performances in the East Central Indiana area as the "Muncie Star Press" music critic.
Mr. Meyerdierks holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State University and a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music. His post graduate studies have been at Indiana University (Bloomington), Northwestern University in the Music Education Summer Fellowship program as an intern with The Instrumentalist magazine company. His professional affiliations include Music Educators National Conference, Indiana Music Educators Association, Indiana Bandmasters Association, National Association of Laboratory Schools, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Kappa Kappa Psi, Pi Kappa Lambda, and "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
Mr. Meyerdierks has presented numerous state, regional and national sessions for the Music Educators National Conference and the National Association of Laboratory Schools. Prior to coming to Indiana, he taught instrumental music in Florida, Georgia, and New York State.
