Be Like Water - Aurora Robson
Her dreams are the wellspring for much of her work, but so too, is the philosophy and martial art of Bruce Lee, who said,“Don’t get set into one form. Adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water... you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; you put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
The environment also holds special meaning to the artist, especially the ocean that was an integral part of her childhood in Hawaii.
She is the founder of an organization called Project Vortex, an international group of artists, whose work using reclaimed plastic draws attention to the wasted material that continually ends up in the world’s oceans.
