A Young Woman From Thebes Tending Her Wounded Father, 1809
Mademoiselle Befort
Purchase: Friends Fund and Museum of Art Endowment

The Friends of the David Owsley Museum of Art, organized more than 40 years ago, is a group of people dedicated to sustaining and enhancing the museum's activities.

The Friends support the acquisitions program, making possible the continued growth of the collection. They also play a large role in promoting the museum to the Ball State and Muncie-area communities.

The David Owsley Museum of Art has a long and distinguished history. It has taken a leadership role in the visual arts for more than 50 years, and the Friends ensure that the museum will remain a vital part of the community's cultural offerings. The Friend's Advisory Council meets at 4pm on the second Monday of every other month, from September through May.

For information about making a tax-deductible contribution to the museum, please visit the giving to the museum section of our website.
