The NREM Alumni Society has annually organized a service project to clean up a one mile stretch of the White River in Hamilton County that the group adopted in 2005. Alumni are invited to join us for this project.

Coordinated by the society’s John Maher, ’85, the group will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Strawtown Koteewi Prairie Park, 12308 E. Strawtown Ave, Noblesville, IN.   We will launch from Koteewi and take out at the White River campground for lunch.  With the lunch break, this is typically a four-hour trip.
Canoes, paddles, and PFDs will be provided courtesy of the White River Canoe Company. All participants are required to wear a PFD while on the water and to sign a waiver of liability.
Participants should bring lunch, drinking water, sunscreen, gloves, and old shoes or water shoes. Family members are welcome. Children must be 10 years or older, able to swim and accompanied by a parent.

Please reserve your spot as early as possible but no later than August 21, 2015.

Email with your name and the names of any family members joining you (include the ages of children). Please include a cell number where you can be reached on Saturday morning in case the event needs to be postponed at the last minute because of river conditions.

about 870 pounds of trash and scrap metal they collected.
