Marilyn Buck is charged with overseeing undergraduate education at Ball State and leading all units of University College .
She joined the university in 1989 as an assistant professor of physical education. At other times in her Ball State career, she served as associate chair of the School of Physical Education—now known as the School of Kinesiology—and as associate dean of the College of Applied Sciences and Technology. Previously, she was Co-chair of the Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Committee, a member of the Undergraduate Education Committee and vise chairperson of the University Senate for two years and then chairperson for three years. Dr. Buck received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in 1974, her master’s degree from the University of Utah in 1978, and her doctorate from Brigham Young University in 1989.
