Sarah Browning joined Ball State University’s Building Better Communities (BBC) in October 2007. She is responsible for the development and delivery of Building Better Communities’ many economic and community development courses and workshops, including the Indiana Economic Development Course and the Community Development Course. Before joining BBC, Sarah worked at Indiana State Department of Agriculture where she developed and executed the Diversified Agriculture Strategic Plan for the State of Indiana.
Sarah holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance from Marian University and is a graduate of the Indiana Agricultural Leadership Program and the Indiana Economic Development Course. She is also a Certified Program Planner through the Learning Resources Network. Sarah is a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association, the International Economic Development Council, and the University Economic Development Association. Sarah serves on the Indiana Artisan Board of Directors, the Indiana Farm Bureau’s Value Added Agriculture Task Force, the Indiana State Department of Health’s Indiana Healthy Weight Initiative Communities Workgroup, and the Indiana Rural Roundtable.
Sarah and her husband, Matt, reside in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis.
