Biography
Sharon Canaday holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma and the Basic Economic Development Course at Ball State University.
Before joining Ball State University’s Building Better Communities, she served as Director of Kiwanis International’s European Center in Belgium. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of Community and Economic Development for the City of South Bend, Indiana; and served as Regional Director of the Indiana Department of Commerce Region 2 in Northwest and North Central Indiana following five years as Project Manager for the Department of Commerce and as Special Assistant to the Governor.
Sharon has lived and traveled throughout Asia, Europe and Micronesia.
