This introductory global
health course provides an overview of health and safety issues worldwide.
Students will learn about burden, distribution and measurement of disease and
disability across countries and continents. The course will introduce
students to major social and behavioral determinants of global health
disparities, issues in maternal and child health, impact of communicable and
non-communicable diseases, and injury and nutrition as leading causes of death
