A community's design has a huge impact on its appeal to both current and future residents. Design is about the physical components of places: how they are arranged, the mix of activities in them, their look and feel, and their impact on local economic, social, and ecological systems.
Everyone has a favorite city or town to visit, somewhere with traits we would love to see in our own hometowns, and all of those places were intentionally created. The Community Design Knowledge Group believes that communities that are making strides to be accessible to everyone, safe, vibrant, and full of activities to stimulate a sense of connection and public engagement, and prioritize infrastructure that is more than driveable - those are the places that are the most likely to attract talent and business. This database is a selection of media and materials that we hope will help in the development and design of your communities.
