The talent which lies in a community's residents and workforce is the single most important factor in determining community and economic growth. The most vibrant and successful places are those that prepare for and embrace change through the inclusive and collaborative efforts of those citizens by engaging them in working toward improvement of quality of life and place and a sustainable future.
Quality of life and quality of place create an environment where people want to live, work, and play, but preparing a community for change can be complicated and challenging. The contents of this database contain both theoretical and practical solutions to some of the questions you may face in evaluating and preparing your community for this process. To get you started, the Community Readiness for Change Knowledge Group has also put together a list of the seven key tenets determining a community's readiness for change.
