Building Better Communities provides resources that Ball State students with the “real world” of business, service and community development. 

Building Better Communities Fellows. BBC Fellows is an immersive learning program in which interdisciplinary teams of students led by a faculty mentor find real-world solutions to real-world problems for Indiana businesses and organizations. Students are challenged to bring a fresh perspective and put their academic knowledge into action for business and community partners, all while earning course credit.

Healthcare Professional Development. The Northeast Indiana Area Health Education Center (NEI-AHEC), housed in Building Better Communities, is part of a state and nationwide network of programs working to promote health care career opportunities while helping students strengthen their leadership and citizenship abilities. NEI-AHEC sponsors the Ball State chapter of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) which provides leadership development, motivation and recognition for students interested in the health professions.
