Late Payment Fee
Fall and Spring Semesters
For students who have enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan and paid the $45 Enrollment fee, the following is applicable immediately following each due date:
- A $25 Late Payment Fee will be assessed if the full installment payment is not received by the due date.
For students who have not enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan and did not pay their balance in full by the due date, the following is applicable immediately following each due date:
- A $25 Late Payment Fee and a $15 Installment Fee will both be assessed if the balance was not paid in full by the due date.

Summer Semester
- A $25 Late Payment Fee will be assessed if the full installment payment is not received by the due date.
- The Installment Payment Plan is not available during the Summer Semester.
*** Be sure to check your Ball State e-mail account for the bill notification that is sent every time a Bursar Statement is ready to view. Failure to receive the e-mail notification or failure to view your Bursar Statement is not a valid reason for waiving the assessment of a late payment fee.
