Business Continuity is the strategic program designed to accelerate the university’s recovery time following a major disruptive event. A disruptive event could include natural disasters such as tornadoes or a severe winter blizzard, electrical blackouts, loss of computing services, or a pandemic outbreak.

The list of potential disruptive events is endless. Business Continuity planning involves:
  • Identification and mitigation of potential threats to the university.
  • Identification of critical functions and business processes necessary to support and sustain the university’s academic teaching mission.
  • Development of recovery plans that build resilience and improve the university’s ability to recover and continue its mission following a disruptive event.
