Career MAP (Career Management Action Plan)
Looking for a career? Think you can do it on your own? Well, of course you can. But the Career Center can help you reach your potential and find the right job for you.
The Career Management Action Plan (or Career MAP) is a program created by the Ball State Career Center. This program guides you through the career planning process during your time in college. These resources are readily available to all students. Career MAP shows you how to use them effectively.
Career MAP is loosely structured so you can use it at your own pace. There is no set order of activities—only a goal. The purpose is to reach your potential, help shape your professional development, and achieve your career goals.
The resources offered in Career MAP are extensive, so take advantage of them. You’ll be able to view your progress with objectives and a checklist to keep you organized.
Career MAP will help you to complete four major objectives in your career development:
-
Explore your interests (Career MAP Objective 1)
-
Develop key skills (Career MAP Objective 2)
-
Get professional experience (Career MAP Objective 3)
-
Find employment or go to graduate school (Career MAP Objective 4a) (Career MAP Objecitve 4b)
It’s never too soon or too late to start!
