What Can I Do with a Major in…

Interior Design

Interior design majors learn to design, plan, and evaluate the interiors of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. Most interior designers specialize. Interior designers follow federal, state, and local building codes and meet accessibility standards. They also oversee clients’ budgets and manage projects. Interior designers often use computers to design layouts. Employers of interior designers include design and architectural firms, stores, hotel chains, institutional facilities, and large corporations.
