What Can I Do with a Major in…

Manufacturing Engineering Technology

Manufacturing engineers work at the core of industrial companies. They use mathematics and scientific principles to make decisions about technology, machinery, people, and finances in the manufacturing industry. Manufacturing engineers often specialize in specific areas such as materials manufacturing processes, product engineering, process assembly engineering, and manufacturing systems design. They often work in teams to design processes and systems to solve problems and launch new products. Because manufacturing engineers are involved with the vital interests of companies, their career paths often lead to management positions.
