What Can I Do with a Major in…

Residential Property Management

Residential property managers plan and supervise activities that affect residential buildings and land including rental properties, apartment buildings, condominiums, and community associations. The residential property management option at Ball State University combines aspects of housing and business, and prepares students to be involved in the design, marketing, and management of multifamily living environments. Most residential property managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of residential real estate, acting as the owners’ agents and advisors. Some may buy and develop real estate for companies. The following occupations represent some career opportunities available to residential property managers. Some will require additional education.
