Let’s Talk About That Dream Job
If we lived in a world of magic and fairy tales, getting that dream job would be a piece of cake. But we all know that it takes work to get from point A to point B.
Already in Intern-Ready?
Today’s most successful professionals don’t just want a single set of skills. They want (and need) a wide range of experiences and transferable skills that allow them to compete within their industries. For thousands of Ball State students, getting those skills often begins with an internship. Not only is it an incredible chance to put theory into action, but it also highlights how your experience and your value are leaps and bounds above your competition.
Get Your Foot Inside the Door
Our Intern-Ready Program has been designed for students who want to gain professional experience long before they ever leave the classroom.
Those who participate in the Intern-Ready Program receive the following services from the Career Center:
- career assessment and exploration activities
- practice interview participation
- professionalism and etiquette training
- resume review
- workplace problem-solving training
- workshop attendance
In just one semester, students can gain the confidence they need to enter the workforce. When the self-guided program is completed, students will earn an Intern-Ready certificate and will be well prepared to move into Ball State’s Career-Ready program, a comprehensive program that focuses on leadership development, community service and engagement, and experiential education.
