Graduate Assistant - SPO Web Maintenance & Information Assistant
Graduate Assistantship available August 18, 2014
Responsibilities: The Sponsored Programs Office (SPO)
announces a full-time (20 hrs/week) graduate
assistantship available for the 2014-15 Academic Year with potential for
continuing in Summer Semester 2015.
Web Maintenance and Information Assistant, primary responsibilities include: maintaining
and incorporating new, accurate information on the websites of the Sponsored
Programs Office and Contracts and Grants Office, creation of SPOtClips (short
informational videos or presentations) for the SPO website, assist with office
newsletter blog content; attend University-related events and symposia associated
with the office publications which may include evenings and weekends as needed. Also, assist with updating office social
media outlets, with Sponsored Program Office events, especially the Student
Symposium, and Research Information Coordinator with their duties. Keep the Research Information Coordinator up
to date with your job activities and progress on assigned projects, assist with
SPO data and information management, including support for SPO wiki, support
for Technology Transfer activities, assist administrative staff with answering
the phones, greeting guests, and other front of office activities as needed,
and perform other duties as assigned. May be required to work evenings and
weekends as needed. Some flexibility with schedule, but it is expected that
applicant will work all five days of the work week (M-F).
communication and language skills; ability to learn, use, and troubleshoot
various computer programs. Demonstrated
ability to work independently and in a highly organized, detailed manner;
demonstrated time management and problem solving skills; strong customer
service skills; project management experience required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience
with software applications in: video editing, information management, online
content creation, content management system, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
desirable. Experience with blogging and social media platforms also desirable.
Compensation: Stipend to be Determined for 20 hours per week during the academic year; tuition waiver.
