Coalition on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) Survey of Tenure-Track Faculty Members
The Tenure-Track Faculty Job Statisfaction Survey was developed by the coalition on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education in 2003 and has been used by more than 150 institutions and over 10,000 respondents. The survey collects information from tenure-track faculty members in years two through six of their employment in several critical areas including clarity and reasonableness of the tenure process and review; workload and support for teaching and research; integration and balance of work/home responsibilities; climate, culture, and collegiality on campus; compensation and benefits; and overall satisfaction. Ball State participated in the survey in 2007-2008 and IE assumed responsibility for a second administration 2010-2011.
