Ethical Decision Making

ABOUT THE SESSION:
Ethics are central to leadership. This session will take students through a demanding exercise designed to challenge students to think critically about ethical decisions. Dr. Concepcion will lead the group through a real life case study surrounding bio-ethics.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

After graduating from Bates College, Dr. David W. Concepción received his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Among others, Dr. Concepción teaches Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Feminist Ethics & Epistemology, and Contemporary Ethical Theory (including Metaethics). He also leads Stance: An International Undergraduate Philosophy Journal, the Philosophy Program’s immersive learning course. Dr. Concepción has received all three of BSU’s top teaching honors: “Lawhead Teaching Award,” “Excellence in Teaching Award,” and the “Outstanding Teaching Award.”
