Ball State Chirper App

The Ball State University Chirper (iOS app) resulted from the desire to produce the first native iPhone application for the university, a desire that would later come to fruition. The Chirper is a simple sports app that flashes and makes a chirping sound when the user shakes or taps the iOS device. The app is intended for use at sporting events to cheer on Ball State players or intimidate opponents. The Chirper's popularity has earned it a Facebook group; its simplicity and use of mobile-device-specific features (touch screen, accelerometer) has dubbed it a nice "Hello, World!" app which other developers now attempt to reproduce in their endeavors to learn mobile development.

The app can be downloaded for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android devices at no charge.
