Assistant/Associate Professor-Human Nutrition, Department of Family and Consumer Sciences
Tenure-track faculty position available August 16, 2013.
Responsibilities: teach graduate and undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas—nutrition biochemistry, medical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, or nutrition assessment; maintain an active research agenda and secure external funding.
Minimum qualifications: earned doctorate in nutrition or closely related field completed on or before August 16, 2013; Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; at least one advanced degree in human nutrition; evidence of potential to establish a scholarly research agenda; evidence of potential to mentor graduate students; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to work cooperatively and interact effectively with faculty and staff to contribute to the strategic plan for the department, college, and university.
Preferred qualifications: evidence of competence and potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; evidence of scholarship through refereed publications and presentations; evidence of successful grantsmanship; significant professional experience in the field of nutrition; successful involvement with professional organizations within the discipline.
