Assistant Professor, Department of Urban Planning

Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014.  

Responsibilities: team teaching in introductory undergraduate environmental design and planning courses, including lecture or seminar courses as well as applied studios in planning at both undergraduate and graduate levels according to individual faculty interests and program needs; keep abreast of recent scholarly developments in field and incorporate into teaching; pursue a minimum of two hours assigned load in personal scholarly research and publications.  

Minimum qualifications: master’s degree or higher in planning or closely related field; demonstrated teaching ability at the college level.

Preferred qualifications:  Ph.D. in planning or related field; AICP membership; professional planning experience with increasing responsibilities; teaching experience in a design studio environment and ability to teach a variety of courses; demonstrated scholarly and/or professional research productivity.
