Contract Faculty Position, Instructor and Assistant Director of Digital Sports Production, Department of Telecommunications

Contract faculty position available August 16, 2013.  

Responsibilities:  teach up to three courses per semester; provide support and collaborate with the Director of Digital Sports Production to advise students and supervise the Ball State Sports Link; serve as Assistant Producer for all related broadcasts; collaborate and organize new courses and deliver existing courses; provide support with the program’s social media outreach and content; network and promote program to external audiences in order to provide immersive instruction and mentoring to Digital Sports Production students.  

Minimum qualifications: master’s degree in telecommunications, communications, media arts, or related field; at least two years of experience in live sports or related event productions; package production experience; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and non-linear editing software.  

Preferred qualifications:  terminal degree; at least five years of experience in live sports or related event productions.  

Candidates for contract faculty searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
