Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014.
Responsibilities: direct the Ball State Concert Choir and Women’s Chorus; play a prominent role with graduate programs, including helping to teach a seminar for graduate conducting students and be able to guide terminal projects for graduate students (master’s and doctoral); possibly teach undergraduate conducting courses, choral arranging, or a role with the University Singers (show choir) according to the candidate’s interest and ability; engage in scholarly and creative activities; participate in faculty and professional service.
Minimum qualifications: ABD in choral conducting by time of appointment; collegiate teaching experience; demonstrated conducting excellence.
Preferred qualifications: completed doctorate in choral conducting; at least three years of college/university teaching experience; proven success in choral conducting at the collegiate level; documented history of professional activity in choral music and choral conducting.
