Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014.
Responsibilities: direct the Opera Theater program; teach undergraduate and graduate studio voice; recruit and maintain a strong studio; maintain a national profile in performance and professional service; perform as a soloist and in faculty ensembles as needed; teach ancillary courses such as diction, literature, opera workshop, and/or pedagogy; advance students in academic matters; assist students in job and graduate school placement.
Minimum qualifications: master’s degree in performance; documented history of professional activity in vocal performance.
Preferred qualifications: doctorate and/or strong performance/scholarly background as a requisite to serving on the university graduate faculty; foreign language skills in Italian, German, and French.
