Contract Faculty Position/Animation, Department of Art

One-year renewable faculty contract position available August 16, 2013, for an animation artist.

Responsibilities: teaching a range of art and animation courses within a menu of beginning to advanced classes in the Department of Art as well as research and service expectations for the department and university.

Minimum qualifications: MFA in animation or a clearly related discipline by the time of appointment; expertise in 3D modeling, animation, and other time based and 2D applications; proficiency in Maya; record of scholarly/creative productivity and the ability to work collaboratively within the university and department.

Preferred qualifications: collegiate and graduate level teaching experience; significant exhibition record; professional work experience; knowledge of the history and criticism of the electronic arts; experience in installation and interactive approaches; ability to convey the relationship between technology and aesthetics.

Candidates for contract faculty positions must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
