Two tenure-track faculty positions available August 15, 2014, in 1) biochemistry and 2) inorganic/materials chemistry.
Responsibilities: develop a funded research program with environmental science applications (e.g., nano or biotechnology) that complements and expands on the department’s existing research programs and involves undergraduate and graduate students; teaching undergraduate and graduate chemistry classes in their specialty as well as teaching general chemistry.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in chemistry or closely related area; post-doctoral research experience or equivalent; evidence of potential for excellence in teaching; evidence of potential for excellence in research.
Preferred qualification: teaching experience at the collegiate level; e.g., teaching assistant, instructor, assistant professor.
