Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014.
Responsibilities: teaching three philosophy courses per semester; keep abreast of recent scholarly developments and publish in area of specialization; provide service to the department as needed.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in philosophy prior to start date with specialization in comparative philosophy, metaphysics, continental philosophy, or area of study concerning an underrepresented population; evidence of research productivity; evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Preferred qualifications: earned doctorate in philosophy at time of application; competency in one or more of the following—philosophy of law, philosophy of film, philosophy of literature, philosophy of sex and love, environmental philosophy, intersectionality, or aesthetics; demonstrated potential to excel in mentoring non-majority students, inclusive pedagogy, and diversity issues.
