Tenure-track faculty position available August 21, 2015, with specialization in the fields of state and local government and public administration.
Responsibilities: teach twelve hours of political science each academic semester, including undergraduate and graduate courses in American state and local government and public administration or three hours of assigned time is available for research for active researchers reducing the teaching load.
Minimum qualification: doctorate in political science, public administration, or public policy completed no later than August 21, 2015.
Preferred qualifications: record of scholarly activity; teaching at the college level; experience in election administration; interest in working with state and local government officials; willingness to travel around the state to meet with public officials and government agencies in conjunction with activities of the department’s Bowen Center for Public Affairs; possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
