Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014, with specialization in the fields of policy analysis and public administration, especially at the state and local levels of government.
Responsibilities: teaching 12 hours of political science each academic semester, including undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration and policy analysis and working collaboratively on projects with the Bowen Center for Public Affairs; 3 hours of assigned time available for research; contribute to the intellectual and professional life of the department, college, university, profession, and the surrounding community.
Minimum qualification: Doctorate in political science or public administration with a concentration in policy analysis and public administration completed no later than June 30, 2014.
Preferred qualifications: record of scholarly activity; teaching at the college level; interest in working with local government officials; experience working with a university based public policy center; experience obtaining and executing funded research; willingness to travel the state to meet with government agencies in conjunction with activities of the department’s Bowen Center for Public Affairs.
