Graduate Assistantship Women's Golf, Intercollegiate Athletics

Intercollegiate Athletics is offering a graduate assistantship available to a person holding a bachelor’s degree who wishes to professionalize his/her coaching experience.  The successful applicant will work with the head coach in all aspects of the women’s golf team; assist in all practice sessions and competitive events; assist in the preseason and in-season conditioning programs; assist with day-to-day operations of the program, including player development, recruiting, clinics and tournament management.  The applicant must make a strong commitment to and have a responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference and the NCAA.

The successful applicant must be admitted to the graduate school and is expected to apply to a master’s program.  In addition, the successful applicant must have coaching experience or competitive experience at the collegiate level.

Tuition remission and a yearly stipend of $7,500.00 will be provided.

Position Function:  Support the head coach with all phases of the golf programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  Assist in practice sessions and competitive events
2.  Assist in the pre-season and in season conditioning programs
3.  Assist with day-to-day operations of the program, including player development, recruiting,                 clinics and tournament management.  
4.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:   Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Experience in collegiate golf
