Assistant/Associate Professor/Early Childhood Education, Department of Elementary Education

Tenure-track faculty position available August 15, 2014.  

Responsibilities:  teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of early childhood education; supervising practica; supervising and conducting research; publishing; serving as a liaison to a professional development school; engaging in professional, university, and community service.     

Minimum qualifications:  earned doctorate in early childhood education, child development, or related area by August 1, 2014; at least three years of teaching experience in early childhood programs and/or elementary schools; record of documented scholarly productivity and service; knowledge of recent trends in early childhood and strengths in general elementary methods.  

Preferred qualifications:  university teaching experience; knowledge of technology in education, including online teaching experience; experience supervising student teaching, partnering with professional development schools, other laboratory components of early childhood education classes, and service learning.
