Contract Faculty Position, Department of Educational Leadership

Contract faculty position available January 6, 2014.  

Responsibilities:  teaching master’s through doctoral level courses in educational administration (online, blended, and face to face); provide professional service to the program, including serve on doctoral committees and advise students; participate in department, college, university, and professional organizations. 

Minimum qualifications:  earned doctorate in educational administration or related field by date of employment; holds or has held an administrative license for the principalship or superintendency; at least three years of successful administrative experience in a public school.  

Preferred qualifications:  university teaching experience; evidence of instructional leadership; knowledge and use of computer technology and its administrative applications. 

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

The Department of Educational Leadership is a leader in delivering online programs (degree and license certification).  The entire master’s degree leading to the principal’s license is offered online.  The department sponsors four public school study councils that represent 95 school superintendents and 29 percent of the school corporations in the state.  Almost one-third of current Indiana superintendents received their Ed.S. or Ed.D. degree through the department’s Ed.S. and Ed.D. programs.
