Major responsibility: provide support to the Executive Director in developing and implementing academic support services for student athletes; assess the needs and monitor progress of student athletes; coordinate services designated to promote academic success; coordinate the referral of student athletes to other University College services; provide semester and annual reports summarizing progress; keep up to date eon NCAA regulations, processing and maintaining NCAA progress toward degree records.
Minimum qualifications: master’s degree; at least one year of experience in education or related area; superior interpersonal communication skills; proficiency in MS Excel.
Preferred qualifications: experience in peer tutoring or developmental education; counseling skills; experience with assessment of reading and study skills ability; experience working with student athletes in higher education; knowledge of learning styles; computer skills; Banner; knowledge of the Ball State curriculum; N4A Athlete Advisor Certification.
