Responsibilities: develop, coordinate, and implement marketing, design, advertising, publicity, promotion, and public relations functions related to programming initiatives at Emens Auditorium and Pruis hall; manage all marketing and communication needs for department, serving as media liaison and ensuring accuracy and timely dissemination of all media communications; provide support as necessary in management functions for events.
Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, public relations, communications, business, arts management, or other related field; at least one year of work experience in event marketing and promotions; possess understanding and appreciation for performing arts, entertainment and industry trends; detail and deadline oriented; demonstrate exceptional proficiency in oral and written communication, editing, and ability to effectively evaluate and critique graphic design work in a variety of media; ability to work with software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications: master’s degree in arts administration, business, communications, or related field; at least three years of full-time professional experience in arts administration, facility management, sales, marketing; experience in performing arts management, including fundraising and programming; supervisory experience; demonstrated proficiency in graphic design; demonstrated proficiency in webpage management; familiarity with box office operations and ticketing systems.
