Assistant Director of Operations, BSU Dining Services

Professional position available immediately.  

Responsibilities:  direct food service operations for residence halls dining service and university food courts, including menu planning and development, test kitchen operations, departmental nutrition and wellness programming; supervise staff. 

Minimum qualifications:  bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in food or culinary management, hotel, restaurant, institutional and/or hospitality management, including food and beverage management, OR a bachelor’s degree in business or marketing with a minimum of five years of direct or related work experience (exclusive of teaching) in commercial or institutional food service; over five years of experience in university food service operations with strong background experience in computerized food service management, menu planning and development, quality assurance, knowledge of foods, basic and advanced food preparation, food presentations, culinary art; satisfactorily complete required departmental training programs within established deadlines; computer literate in use of “Windows” software.  

Preferred qualifications:  in addition to a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree in culinary arts; master’s degree from an accredited college or university in food, hotel, restaurant, institutional and/or hospitality management, including food and beverage management; additional years of related experience.
