Guardian Scholars Program Coordinator, Social Science Research Center

Professional contract position available immediately.  

Responsibilities:  oversee the development, coordination, implementation, marketing and evaluation of the Guardian Scholars program; provide post-secondary access and success services for students who are transitioning out of the foster care system in Indiana.  

Minimum qualifications:  master’s degree in social work, adult education, counseling, or related human services field at time of appointment; supervisory experience; experience in presenting information to professionals and leading groups; program management experience; experience with proposal writing and/or fundraising; strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral and written); ability to work independently as well as part of a team and represent the Guardian Scholars program and the Social Science Research Center in a professional manner to both on- and off-campus audiences; strong ability to identify priorities, multi-task, and work under pressure and deadlines; ability to organize, author, and produce materials and reports in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner; possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.  

Preferred qualifications:  experience with foster care systems and foster care youth; experience with academic support and/or student services programs; experience in college recruitment; experience with software (preferably Microsoft Office—Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and database management.
