Director of CAP Indy and Communication Specialist, College of Architecture and Planning

Professional position available immediately. 

Responsibilities:  teach in the CAP/Master of Urban Design program while providing onsite administrative and local program and technical support to both prospective and current students at the downtown center; recruit, advise, and admit students; coordinate and support CAP Outreach Alliance, the community engagement arm of the university.

Minimum qualifications:  terminal degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and/or professional license/certificate in one of these respective disciplines; at least four years of experience with community-based projects or planning; ability to understand and effectively communicate complex organizational, planning, and design issues to a wide range of audience, including the general public; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to perform routine maintenance on facility and equipment; ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as required. 

Preferred qualifications:  more than four years of experience with customer-service orientation; experience with website development, design and management; extensive technical skill set including graphic design, image editing and desktop publishing, and arcview geographic information system; computer network, hardware, software, and troubleshooting knowledge.
