Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Services

Professional position available immediately.

Responsibilities:  procure supplies, equipment, and services in a timely manner from reliable sources while maximizing value and meeting the quality standards of the university; provide assistance in the public works process while adhering to federal, state, and local laws and university regulations; provide support in the development, implementation, maintenance of projects and systems in Purchasing Services.  

Minimum qualifications:  bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; three years of professional experience; excellent computer skills.

Preferred qualifications: bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, management information systems, or related field from an accredited university; experience in procurement of goods and services; print management experience; background in Banner and/or SiQuest e-procurement software, catalog purchasing, and supplied management; familiarity of local, state, and federal laws as they apply to university procurement and public works; general knowledge in contract management and public relations techniques.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
