Responsibilities: manage the day-to-day activities associated with Ball State websites; assist the interactive marketing and marketing teams with creation of content, troubleshoot client issues through the help desk system, and provide customer service and communication to resolve issues; perform quality control checks on the content prior to inputting content into the content management system; maintain expert knowledge of the content management system in order to conduct and analyze content audits and input text, graphics, and multimedia.
Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree; at least two years of experience with creating and producing web content; strong interest and aptitude in developing and/or maintaining websites; ability to learn new skills quickly; must be able to meet deadlines, adhere to project production schedules, and prioritize a large number of tasks; must be detail-oriented; must have strong communication skills as reviewing copy and content strategy will be needed.
Preferred qualifications: bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, telecommunications, graphic design, or related field; at least three years of professional experience in maintaining and developing websites; experience working with a web content management system; web graphic design experience using multimedia programs such as Photoshop; experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working as part of a team in a professional setting.
