Major responsibility: develop, implement and maintain health, sanitation and environmental programs in accordance with federal, state, and/or local laws, regulations and university policy.
Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree or higher in public health or environmental health, sanitation, biological science, or related field; three years of experience in public health or environmental management; working knowledge of computer software programs related to environmental, health and safety programs; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain an Indiana license within six months and be insurable under the university’s insurance policy.
Preferred qualifications: master’s degree in public health, environmental health, sanitation or related field; five or more years of experience in public health or environmental health; certifications: Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) or Certified Professional Food Service (CP–FS); OSHA 40 hour training or OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
