IT Coordinator/Specialist, Bowen Center for Public Affairs, Department of Political Science

Professional contract position available immediately.  

Responsibilities:  manage and maintain computer operations and databases for the Voting System Technical Oversight Program (VSTOP); provide support and technical advice to the VSTOP co-directors and other staff; maintain and integrate databases and web-based interfaces.  

Minimum qualifications:  bachelor’s degree or higher; mastery of the full range of the configuration and operations of computers and information technology comparable to a master’s degree in computer science; possess an advanced understanding of the range of various data and social media platforms; ability to initiate and follow through on projects; possess a professional attitude and interpersonal skills; ability to travel occasionally; possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy; ability to work in a multi-faceted office setting and interact with staff members of the VSTOP project and the Bowen Center for Public Affairs.  

Preferred qualifications:  bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related technology field; demonstrate experience in designing and maintaining large-scale databases; experience with voting systems and related technology.
